Safari 4, here and gone.

I have had a problem with my Mail on my Mac. When I get ASF Windows attachments, Mail locks up and crashes. Thought it was a plugin, but I don't use any. I checked to be sure. So since I was thinking I may have to reload, I would try Safari 4 out. It is touted as the fastest Safari ever. I guess it is. The things I didn't like though, it looked a bit different. Tab corners were not as smooth, and the appearance just seemed a little different. I tried the newest feature, the one that downloads every page in your bookmarks, in a cover flow design. It was ok, but not needed by me. I also don't want my browser connecting to every single site just to have it at the ready. Thats cool for lazy geeks, but I like to click on my link, and get the page fresh right then and there. Not based on a cache file. Broadband is quite fast enough! I liked Safari 3 because it was fast, small footprint, and not much bloated code. Safari 4 goes against that idea, even if the render engine is beefed up. It is just principle.

My biggest pet peeve about Apple and Mac software updates still stands true today! There is no way to uninstall Safari 4 to back up to Safari 3. Sure you can use Time Machine, but again, thats another big program that eats up system resources. I just want a text or a few buttons. No need for swirly graphics. I want a Software Update option to uninstall Safari 4. No luck.

I re-installed OS X, patched it, and still had the Mail lockup. Seems Apple had a fix package for 10.5.6, for a problem they knew about. That worked! I reloaded for nothing, but the Mac does seem a bit snappier. I just have so many things loaded. yes that may be the problem, I plan to look over what is plugged into the system preferences folder. I may move a few things and see if that helps.

In the meantime, if you like Safari 3, keep it. Apple loves to change things. Seems they used to slap Microsoft around alot, but Windows has a few features that even the Mac has yet to adopt. Maybe Macs are not as great as the price tries to indicate. Oh I bought new laptop too, and Dude, it was a Dell! I saved $1500!

Glenn Beck - America is Fed Up!

Take a look at this letter from a viewer from the Glen Beck Show. It illustrates what most American's want, and how fed up we are with Washington. I see a Conservative revolution brewing!

ABC - One sided STATE run news media

As posted on Drudge Report... Can you say Agenda driven? ABC was one of the last media outlets I trusted. That is gone now. I realize that CBS, NBC and ABC are all controlled by special interest. FOX is the last one to present both sides. Maybe FOX should air a counter point during the Obama Show?

ABC REFUSES OPPOSITION ADS DURING WHITE HOUSE SPECIAL
Wed Jun 17 2009 15:15:00 ET

ABC is refusing to air paid ads during its White House health care presentation, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned, including a paid-for alternative viewpoint!

The development comes a day after the network denied a request by the Republican National Committee to feature a representative of the party's views during the Obama special.

Conservatives for Patients Rights requested the rates to buy a 60-second spot immediately preceding 'Prescription for America'.

Statement from Rick Scott, chairman of Conservatives for Patients Rights:

"It is unfortunate - and unusual - that ABC is refusing to accept paid advertising that would present an alternative viewpoint for the White House health care event. Health care is an issue that touches every American and all potential pieces of legislation have carried a pricetag in excess of $1 trillion of taxpayers' money. The American people deserve a healthy, robust debate on this issue and ABC's decision - as of now - to exclude even paid advertisements that present an alternative view does a disservice to the public. Our organization is more than willing to purchase ad time on ABC to present an alternative viewpoint and our hope is that ABC will reconsider having such viewpoints be part of this crucial debate for the American people. We were surprised to hear that paid advertisements would not be accepted when we inquired and we would certainly be open to purchasing time if ABC would reconsider."

Letterman Apologizes - Silent Majority Starting to Speak Up!

David Letterman made some off color jokes about Governor Sarah Palin's daughter. Seems the heat is on, and the so called silent majority, you, the people who believe in morals, and think it not right to lambaste someone just for being related to a public figure... have decided to put pressure on old Liberal CBS and the Letterman show. To the point that Letterman, in his own Late Night delivery, actually apologizes for those jokes. Check out the Letterman video clip. I have always liked Letterman, but the attack on Conservatives must stop!

Obama Confirmed Muslim!

During a conference call in preparation for President Obama's trip to Cairo, Egypt, where he will address the Muslim world, deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications Denis McDonough said "the President himself experienced Islam on three continents before he was able to -- or before he's been able to visit, really, the heart of the Islamic world -- you know, growing up in Indonesia, having a Muslim father -- obviously Muslim Americans (are) a key part of Illinois and Chicago."
