Sullivan's SteakHouse - Laurel, Maryland

Hi gang, I want to let you all know of a great little Restaurant/Steak House/Bar in central Maryland, near Laurel off of Route 198. It is called Sullivan's. Very nice proprietor and excellent food for a lunch out excursion, if you happen into the area. Their salads are excellent, and I love the Reuben with fries! Oh and the wings are excellent. You can have some spirits with the food, beer on tap or bottles, and great fresh brewed iced tea. Exceptional prices and food quality. Check out their website, and maybe I will see you in there one day around lunchtime. If I do, your lunch will be on me!

July 16th - Steve Jobs upset Apple iPhone has issues and critics!

Apple iPhone AntennaGate explained by Steve Jobs. He is unhappy that the media is attacking him and his products, he says results and facts prove it is unwarranted. This is also what good politicians go through, good people, and good celebrities. Get used to it Steve. You have even had unwarranted attacks on President Bush, during keynotes. I would suggest that what goes around comes around. How about also fixing the scratching issues that iMacs cause on cds and dvds? Sounds like I feel sorry? Nope, I don't. Welcome to the hard reality of todays extreme media frenzy caused by a vacuum of morales and respect that you used to condone.

Darth Vader Art - If you say so!

Wired Magazine has an article about a Darth Vader art auction, entitled the Darth Vader Project. Wacky! Last Saturday you could have scored big on art. All of the art will be mods to Darth Vader helmets. Adds a new meaning to "What is thy BIDDING my master". Sorry!

New iMac Scratching CDs and DVDs

From the I can NOT believe it department, news is that many consumers who purchased the new iMacs, are getting scratched CDs from the internal factory drive. Seems that the drive exhibits 4 small scartches on the disk upon eject. Seems that little Snow Leopard trapped inside wants to get out! Apple techs have been said to be rude, and indicate that people need to learn how to insert and remove CDs from their drives. Me thinks it is a design flaw with the drive or opening slot, being too thin. The tolerances are tight. Lets hope Apple decides to correct this, versus removing the CD drive all together, which seems to be their plan for the Mac Mini, and Macbook, ala Macbook Air.

Some owners have come up with makeshift solutions, to place tape around the slot to eliminate the scratches, but I am not sold on it being the slot itself, it could be the actual drive inside. Apple confirms they will replace the drive. And have done so for many, to no avail. Others have decided to install an external CD drive with a tray! This could be eliminated if the iMac had a tray CD device, none of my PCs have ever scratched my CDs over the last 10 years.

Rush about Obama and Company

"We face something we've never faced before in the country. We're now governed by people who do not like the country. We have plenty of external threats, enemies across oceans. But we have a threat inside as well. I know we've had liberals. Clinton and Hillary were, and are, pedal-to- the-metal liberals, but they didn't want to destroy things. This bunch does. They make no bones about it. When destruction happens, they don't lift a finger to fix it." -Rush Limbaugh
