I wish the old paths were before us instead of behind us!
I liked the old paths, when...
Moms were at home.
Dads were at work.
Brothers went into the army.
And sisters got married BEFORE having children!
Crime did not pay;
Hard work did;
And people knew the difference.
Moms could cook;
Dads would work;
Children would behave.
Husbands were loving;
Wives were supportive;
And children were polite.
Women wore the jewelry;
And Men wore the pants.
Women looked like ladies;
Men looked like gentlemen;
And children looked decent.
People loved the truth,
And hated a lie.
They came to church to get IN,
Not to get OUT!
Hymns sounded Godly;
Sermons sounded helpful;
Rejoicing sounded normal;
And crying sounded sincere.
Cursing was wicked;
Drugs were for illness.
The flag was honored;
America was beautiful;
And God was welcome!
We read the Bible in public;
Prayed in school;
And preached from house to house.
To be called an American was worth dying for;
To be called an American was worth living for;
To be called a traitor was a shame!
I still like the old paths the best!

Charles Krauthammer Destroys Global Warming Myths in 89 Seconds
Last night on “Special Report with Bret Baier”, columnist Charles Krauthammer questioned the “settled science” of global warming — an issue that is currently driving the President’s agenda.
"Speaking about the economic effects of climate change, Krauthammer noted that “all of this is driven by this ideology, which in it of itself is a matter of almost theology.”

Ugly Website Trend: PC Magazine
In 2013 one of my favorite tech magazines, wether in print or on the web, has always been PC Magazine. It is no secret that I am a Mac user, and I support PCs for a living. So it made sense to me to keep my feet on the ground and keep watch on whats happening in the PC industry. Nowadays that includes cell phones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers. I always felt that PC Magazine attempted to support as much of a cross section and diverse subjects across all platforms. So around the 1st of the year, it was no surprise that they decided to redo their website to better support tiny phones and emulate the Windows 8 interface in some way. Many sites now use tiles or data, and for some reason they think this keeps them looking trendy and edgy and in tune with what is happening in the computer world. To my surprise, the tiles interface overall in Windows 8 works, but this new layout for PC Magazine is terrible. I have never seen such an ugly and hard to navigate website from a truly professional organization like this before. Lost now is the easy to understand groups of content, and special articles from their writers. Now you have to zig zag down the tiles to try to understand and find articles of interest. I realized that many websites are following this thought that site information should be scrambled across the page and force the reader to look at things that you don't really want to. Take a look at the PC Magazine site, and see for yourself if this is better or worse that a structured column view. I myself, have seen better, and don't like it.

USAToday: Apple loses some of its magic touch with iOS 7
Seems that major media outlets may finally be seeing beyond the Apple distortion field, and calling IOS 7 out of the cloudy mist. I stated in an earlier post how dreadful IOS 7 was on appearance alone. Now USA Today notes the problems stacking up since it's release on September 18th of this year.

Will Apple fix the pastel color from the 60's flashback, ala technicolor dreamcoat, that has washed through the corporation full of hippies? We can only join hands, sing, and hope so.

Draining batteries, dropping Wi-Fi and spotty Bluetooth connections are getting big boos across discussion boards at Apple's own support communities. Some apps are working poorly or slowly, the interface is harder to use for some people, and game players have also found faults.

Star Trek: Classic Trek Revived
Seems that with each episode that Paramount creates, they get further from the original artistry and direction that Star Trek storied by Gene Roddenberry. If you yearn for the great stories, strong characters, and focus n acting instead of gratuitous special effects that seem out of place, then here are 2 fan sites that have shown the Classic Trek is still worth watching.
Star Trek Continues, and Start Trek Phase 2, The New Voyages, are fantastic examples of what Paramount should consider, bringing back Classic Trek in a revival unparalleled in modern Cinematography.
Check out each site for full length episodes, vignettes that are sure to please, and desktops and information for all fans.

iPhone IOS 7 versus IOS 6
Take a look at the side by side comparison. I ask you, truly... which looks better? I must say up front, I don't own an iPhone, but was looking for a deal. I won't be getting an iPhone now. I will not even consider it if I have to get IOS7. IOS6 had nice 3D shadows, and 3D icons. A great look and feel. That is all gone for speed I guess, ala Windows 8. Shame, of all the boneheaded things to do, NEVER follow behind Windows 8, and Microsoft's screw ups. It just goes to show that Apple without Jobs is DOOMED! Apple must be full of group think and a bunch of robots. I give them 5 years before the iTower starts to crumble.

How the Great Pyramids Were Built - Discovered by Jean-Pierre Houdin
Jean - Pierre Houdin has discovered how the Great Pyramids were built. KHUFU's pyramid, which is the largest, was built from the inside out, using a 7 % ramp along the outer edges. Then a pulley system was used in the great center chamber, and evidence shows the theory to be correct. I myself have stated amongst friends that it is preposterous that slaves built the pyramids, this theory supports the idea that skilled dedicated workers actually were paid and hired to build the Pyramids. In the outer areas, well fed skeletal remains support my statement. The entire theory is brilliantly simple, and is easily acceptable as the true theory on how the Pyramids were built. Fascinating!

Rush Limbaugh Runs America - says Barack Obama
The president of the United States seems to think that I'm something more than relevant, seems to think that I'm something more than an entertainer. The president has blamed me more than he blamed Boehner or McConnell or anybody else in the Republican organizational chart. The president says the Excellence in Broadcasting Network is the single most powerful force in Republican/conservative politics today!

CultTVMan News on Batman Adam West Moebius Kit
There will be a Batman kit coming from Moebius Models that was shown at the San Diego Comic Con. This is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2013 according to CULTTVMAN Fantastic Modelling. The image shown is a painted concept of what the kit may look like. Jeff Yagher sculpted this model to drum up interest. I would say Kudos, we are interested. I hope they move forward on producing this model kit. I have seen garage kits modified to Adam West's likeness, but this is the best.

Ford F-150 Tremor for 2014 - Finally Worth a Look!
Finally Ford will deliver a sport truck worth looking at. The Tremor for 2014 is a very nice looking stock F-150. Look at the images from this Motortrend article to see the new center stack, which is my favorite mod. The old center stack was UGLY and scattered. One major flaw is that the V6 ecoboost will dominate the truck. It may be a good engine, but give us something closer to the Dodge Hemi = Performance!

Star Trek Shuttle Restored - Like NEW!
The Galileo 7, a life-sized prop used as a shuttlecraft in the original “Star Trek” TV series in the 1960s, was christened after being completely restored by the business after months of work on Saturday afternoon. The prop is 24 feet long, 14 feet wide and weighs more than 3,000 pounds.Looks like this is an amazing transformation. I read this several years ago, and this shuttle prop was a mess. It took real money, effort, and dedication to get this back to original glory! Congratulations!

Apple's Past Mistakes Could Be a Sign Of Things To Come.
One has to wonder what Apple was thinking when they created these bombshells. MacWorld shows us the largest mistakes Apple has made since their inception. Something to consider, they are doing really well now, but Apple has a hard headed nature to it, almost condescending. They don't make what customers want, they force customers to buy what they make. Sometimes the results work, sometimes they don't.
Read this interesting article from MacWorld.
